Join OAC at Marigold Restaurant in Uptown on the evening of Thursday, August 26th for a relaxed evening of dining and socializing. For $35 per person (including tax and tip), we’ll enjoy three courses of delicious Indian fare, with four entrées, appetizers, and dessert served family-style. Join OAC after work THIS THURSDAY at the Art Institute’s new Modern Wing for free admission and a free 30-minute tour of highlights of the modern collection. The tour, given by museum staff for the public, begins at 5:30pm sharp and cannot be delayed for late persons. If you will need to check a bag upon arrival, please allow time to do so prior to the start of the tour. We will gather to the left immediately inside the Modern Wing’s Monroe Street entrance, before the guard station. If you’re having trouble finding us, call or send a text message to 773-350-8114.

For those able to arrive later, we’ll regroup in the Griffin Court at 6:00pm before enjoying a leisurely tour and then soda/coffee/snacks in the cafeteria. If you’d like to join the group at this point, please arrive between 6:00 and 6:10pm and wait just inside and to the left of the Monroe Street entrance. OAC’s 5th Annual Grant Park concert event! This family-friendly concert’s theme will be “The Magic Toy Shop,” including pieces by Brahms, Britten, and Respighi (details here). We’ll meet and enjoy the show at the south end of the Millennium Park Great Lawn, about 100 feet from the end; we’ll mark the spot with a rainbow umbrella. Please plan to arrive at 6pm to allow time to mingle before the concert begins at 7:30. This is a free event - bring your own blankets, food, and beverages! “Planet Earth Live”

If you’d prefer an after-work concert instead, the University of Chicago LGBT Alumni invite OAC to join them for an installment of BBC’s “Planet Earth” documentary set to a live symphonic score (program details here). Look for the University of Chicago LGBT Alumni banner towards the back of the Great Lawn starting at 7:30pm, with the show starting at 8:15pm. An assortment of snacks will be provided.

Out Alumni in Chicago’s annual Pre-Pride Mixer will take place at Sidetrack. Get your Pride weekend off to a great start with lively conversation on their beautiful rooftop deck.

Join Out Alumni in Chicago for complimentary appetizers and great drink specials when we return to Wild Pug on Thursday, May 20. Mingle with lots of friendly faces, familiar and new, as we celebrate the end of winter in style.

Wild Pug is located one block west of the Lawrence Red Line stop. All LGBT alumni and their friends are welcome.

Join us as we volunteer to sort and prepare food packages for thousands of needy families in the Chicago area at the Great Chicago Food Depository. We will be volunteering from 1:30 to 4:30 PM at GCFD’s southwest side facility, 4100 W. Ann Lurie (42nd) Place.
